In the dispute about the sponsoring of the German team Werder Bremen by Bwin another stone has been thrown. The Online bet house wants to sue, in Germany, the federal state Land Bremen for the prohibition.

The company is going to demand a compensation for damages caused by the sponsoring opportunities that they have lost because of the costs of the legal procedure that it requires.

Several federal states have prohibited the activity of Bwin in sports betting. The bottom reason of the ban is a resolution of the Superior Court of the Bremen Administration, which prohibits Bwin to sponsor the soccer team of that state. The players couldn’t wear the brand on their equipment and neither could it appear on the advertising of the stadium’s lateral.

The team fixed the problem putting on the shirts “We Win”, but the strategy didn’t go undetected by the court.
