Ribery and Wenger: player and coach of the year

Frank Ribery, for the second year in a row, and Arsene Wenger for the first time in his career, have been chosen by France Football magazine as best player and best coach respectively.

Ribery, who had already been chosen as best Bundesliga player, was chosen for the second time as French player of the year like Zinedine Zidan (1998, 2002), Jean Pierre Papin (1989, 1991) and Michel Platini (1976, 1977).

With 148 points, the Bayer Munich midfielder advantaged Karim Benzema (122 points), Yoann Gourcuff (50), Nicolas Anelka y Jeremy Toulalan (40).

For the first time in his career, Arsene Wenger has been chosen as French world coach after all French technicians voted. Arsenal coach got 73 points, Laurent Blanc (62), Frederic Antonetti y Claude Puel (56).

Wenger succeeded Pablo Correa, who was awarded the last two years.
