A Pewaukee development team is building a $10m indoor sports complex on 15 acres in the village of Sussex that will cater to competitive youth and adult organizations.

Called Engage Sports Center, the 130,000-square-foot center will have indoor courts and Astroturf-covered fields to accommodate basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, football and wrestling teams.

Riquelme is officially back in Boca

During the afternoon of Monday, it was made official the return of Juan Román Riquelme to Boca Juniors. The soccer player gave a press conference in the club and pointed out that he preferred to come back to the club for an entire year instead of five months as he finally agreed.
“If it would have been three days I would have still come”, he clarified immediately. “My intention was to come to the club for an entire year, but that couldn’t happen. Mauricio Macri tried to make the arrangement in the best way. If I had to come for three days I would have still come. I took a very wise decision for myself”, he said.

Serena Williams is back

West Ham United to sign up Curbishley

Alan Curbishley, the former coach of Charlton Athletic, is expected to be named as manager of West Ham United, according to the British media. The position fell vacant after the club’s new owners, who are from Iceland, fired Alan Pardew following five straight defeats in six games.
Curbishley had been considered as a replacement for England’s national team coach Sven-Goran Eriksson after the World Cup, but the job was given to Steve McClaren. Curbishley, who played for West Ham from 1975-79, has said he would like to return to Upton Park.

Tiger Woods wins Grand Slam and sets record

For the seventh time, Tiger Woods won the PGA Grand Slam of Golf and set a record. He defeated Jim Furyk by two strokes and ended the tournament with a bogey-free 6-under 66. Tiger took home $500,000.

The golf player finished the Grand Slam surrounded by hula dancers on the 18th green. “I certainly played better than I did yesterday,” Woods said. “Gave myself some chances. ... Overall, I really hit the ball crisp and clear today, which was nice. I've always loved coming here.”

Federer turned out to be the winner

BetOnSports cancelled all its sponsor contracts

BetOnSports informed its clients that the Directive Board of the company decided to cancel every sponsor contract in order to obey the restriction imposed by the Department of Justice of the United States. BetOnSports still has to comply with a part of the restriction order that requires the company to give back funds to its clients in the United States. It hasn’t been informed if they will do so or if they will wait for the audience on August.
Meanwhile, the Asian easybets.com remains open to business. The Asian site stopped offering its services to American clients.

FIFA opens a disciplinary investigation against Materazzi

The FIFA announced the opening of an investigation on Marco Materazzi. The decision “was carried out because of the first declarations made by the French soccer player Zinedine Zidane, who attacked Materazzi hitting him with his forehead in the final game of the World Cup, July 9th in Berlin”.
Zidane had expressed in an interview “having reacted to a repeated provocation of the Italian player”. FIFA is going to analyze the circumstances of the incident.
