Tyson and Fenech, an Australian, mentioned two possible opponents: Irish fighter Kevin McBride (32-4-1, 27 KOs) of Brockton, Mass., and Bob Mirovic (25-14-2, 16 KOs) of Australia.

Baseball is in the advanced stages of crisis

22.jpg

The most shocking revelation in Jose Canseco's tell-all book is that he never slept with Madonna, on whose birthday David Letterman once said, "What do you give someone who has had everyone?"

The rest of the material that has been leaked from the book will be ho-hum stuff for anybody who has A) paid attention to baseball the past 10 years, B) paid attention to Canseco the past 20 years or C) ever read a tell-all book.

But thanks to a muscle-bound former slugger obeying his muse, we now have the wholesome image of Canseco jabbing steroid-filled syringes into the butts of Mark McGwire, Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez and Juan Gonzalez. Makes you want to grab a glove and play catch in the back yard, doesn't it?...

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Angela Ruggiero would be happy to put off her preparation for the next Olympics for another shot at playing in a men's professional hockey match.

Ruggiero said Title IX, the federal law that bars sex discrimination in schools and education, and the Olympics had done much to advance women's hockey but playing in men's games is a unique opportunity.

JOHNSTON: Championship Weekend Rewind

20.jpg

Would Andy Reid's play-calling buck his conservative trend of Philly's past championship game losses?

I thought Andy Reid did an excellent job. The big 45-yard pass from Donovan McNabb to Greg Lewis in the second quarter, into the wind, was a great example. Reid didn't let the conditions dictate what he was going to do.

All day he had an aggressive approach and maintained it throughout the entire game.
